Another Thursday is upon us and I came across a great video for an easy technique yesterday, made even easier if you are using embossed paper such as Stampin’ Up! Natural Composition specialty designer paper. It’s called Sponge Resist. Basically you will ink your paper (the video uses a sponge wedge, daubers work well too.) Where there is embossing it will “resist” the applied ink.
For convenience, I’ve noted the card dimensions:
- Card base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (8 1/2 x 11 cut in half and scored in the middle)
- Mat: 4 x 5 1/4″ (crumb cake used in the video)
- Face: 3 3/4″ x 5″ (Natural Compositions DSP)
I hope you enjoy the video! I’ll be posting my version tomorrow 🙂
