I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring pet theme projects that celebrate the Doggy Days of Summer. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe are participating so we have a wide array of fun projects to share with you! You may have arrived from Emelie Poncelet’s blog. She had a fabulous project!

I decided to use the Pretty Kitty stamp set.  Both my girls have cats and I love the cute images and phrases this stamp set has.

My girls both have cats so I just had to have this stamp set when it came out.  These cards are perfect for sending a quick hello to let someone know you’re thinking of them.  Of course, the stamp set has several options for sentiments so there’s a lot of flexibility with your cards.

Ink & Share July Blog Hop: Masculine

Standard

img_0196

Hello everyone:  Welcome to today’s blog hop, featuring masculine cards.  For this hop I decided to focus on simple and fast options.  Stampin’ Up! added some great card and envelope packs to their annual catalogue that are designed to work with the Memories and More card packs.. easy, fast, and for masculine cards the perfect solution.  I used the Best Route card pack and the coordinating enamel shapes.  There are also designer series papers that coordinate and a stamp set.

Standard

img_0335

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the What’s New at SU? blog hop.  This time we’re focusing on the amazing buy 3 get 1 free designer series paper sale happening right now at Stampin’ Up! for the entire month of July.  Not familiar with the sale? Not to worry, I’ve included all the information at the very end of this post including a great little video made by Stampin’ Up! and a downloadable PDF file of each of the qualifying DSP that is on sale.

Good morning everyone.  I used the Wood Textures DSP along with the coordinating Wood Words stamp set.  I decided to create a card that had a mystical feel to it, incorporating the triple moon and stars on the cat.  I really hope you like it.  Check back tomorrow to see how I created this card.

Ink & Share June 2018 Blog Hop

Standard

img_0196

Hi everyone and welcome to the June edition of the Ink & Share Blog Hop.  This month we are featuring summer cards.

I decided to use a stamp set that I had received during the April OnStage.  All demonstrators were given this stamp set and I thought it would be a great set to highlight during this hop.  The set is called Animal Outings and whats great about this set is that there is a matching set for your big shot.  It’s available as a bundle or individually.

To make the folded designer paper background:

  1. You’ll need a piece of designer series paper cut to 5-1/4″ x 10″.
  2. On both ends of the short side of the paper mark at 2-1/8″ and at 3-1/8″.
  3. On both top and bottom of the long side of the paper, mark at 4-1/2″ and 5-1/2″.
  4. Cut on the diagonal, using the marks as your guide.
  5. Score across the short side of the paper at 1″, 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″, 3″, 4″, 4-1/2″, 5-1/2″, 6″, 7″, 7-1/2″, 8-1/2″, and 9″.
  6. Using your bone folder fold the designer series paper in an accordian fashion starting from the outside in.
  7. Secure to your card base using tear tape or the adhesive of your preference.

I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring projects that are patriotic to the country the demonstrator lives in. Fellow demonstrators from all over Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and United States are participating so we have a wide array of fun projects to share with you! You may have arrived from Ginger’s blog. She had a fabulous project!

I decided to use Colorful Seasons stamp set for it’s maple leaf and the Happy Birthday thinlet.  Combining the Labeler Alphabet stamp set with the Bunch of Banners framelits allowed me to customize the card to specifically feature Canada and reaching it’s 151st year of commemoration.

A helpful note**  It almost looks like ghosting on some of the letters and after making three banners trying to be very careful, I finally looked on the stamp case and realized that that is actually how the stamps are.  Note to self — intentional imperfections are perfect and that’s just fine!

The multi-purpose adhesive sheets made it a snap to get the Happy Birthday out and stick it to the card.  Those sheets may become my new “go-to” for adhering shapes run through the Big-Shot!

I also LOVE the new glitter shimmer paper – no getting covered in glitter which was awesome and ran through the Big-Shot with no issues as all!  I’ve stayed away from the glitter papers in the past just because I end up wearing more of it than I want but not anymore!  They are back in my favourites 🙂
